Always have your valid driver’s license, proof of insurance (green card) and a blank European claim form with you in the car.
A one-way damage is a collision of your car with another object, such as a pole, lamppost or tree. No other road user is involved in the collision. Many times, this only results in damage to your own car.
However, have you collided with a speed bump or other road furniture and can't continue driving? Then call the emergency number listed on your green card! You must mail the fully completed and signed claim form (front and back) to schade@thrust.nl.
Step 1
Can you continue driving or not? If you cannot drive any further, call the emergency number listed on your green card. Call the police only if necessary!
Step 2
Fill out the claim form (front and back) as completely as possible and send it to schade@thrust.nl. Also send photos of the damage if necessary.
Step 3
Does your vehicle need to be repaired? We advise you to use a repairer partnered with insurer and therefore please refer to the green card or www.mijnschadehersteller.nl.
Not all questions on the claim form relate to a single-vehicle accident. So it's a matter of choosing which questions to answer or not answer. Make sure you fill out the claim form as completely as possible.
This will prevent you from having it returned to you with a request to answer certain questions.
If you have damage from, say, a collision with another road user, it's called a two-way injury or accident.
You are then dealing with an opposing party. We advise you to use the following steps.
Step 1
Stay calm! Can you still drive the vehicle? Then go to a safe place! If you cannot continue driving, call the emergency number listed on your green card. Call the police only if necessary!
Step 2
Always take pictures of the damage and the situation at the scene. This can prevent misunderstandings in the liability question.
Step 3
Fill out the claim form (front and back) as completely as possible with the other party. You can fill out the back of the claim form yourself at home.
Step 4
Does your vehicle need to be repaired? We advise you to use a repairer partnered with insurer and therefore please refer to the green card or www.mijnschadehersteller.nl.
Step 5
Mail the claim form with photos, witness information, etc., if necessary, to schade@thrust.nl.
Note! After the front of the claim form is completed, both parties must sign the form. After the signing has taken place, nothing may be changed!
Step 1
You should report the theft to the Stolen Vehicle Registration Office. This desk can be reached every day between 07:00 and 23:00 by dialing 088-0087444.
Step 2
File a police report.
Step 3
You should then contact Thrust Insurance Services B.V. as soon as possible and mail the claim form and police report.
Insurer will immediately call in an expert after the damage report to determine the damage.
There is a so-called waiting period of 30 days during which insurer has the opportunity to recover the vehicle. Is the car not found? And is there coverage according to the terms and conditions? Then insurer will proceed to compensate the damage.
Window damage
Do you have windshield damage and is your car WA with Limited Casco or WA with (Full) Casco insured? Then you can contact a bodyshop directly to have the damage repaired. Go to www.autotaalglas.nl , www.carglass.nl or www.kwik-fit.nl and make an appointment.
Always take your green card with you so the body shop can see who your insurer is. Note! You pay a deductible when replacing your car window. The amount of your deductible is listed on your policy. Windscreen damage is not insured under third-party insurance.
Other damage
You have damage to your car caused, for example, by storm, fire, burglary or a collision with animals. Fill out the damage form (see process 'unilateral damage') and mail it to schade@thrust.nl.
Do you have damage due to vandalism or burglary? Then also report it to the police. Send the police report together with the completed claim form (see process 'one-sided damage') to schade@thrust.nl.
